Ayurvedic Remedy for Insomnia / Sleeplessness – Remedy 2

This is the second remedy in a series of remedies to combat the insomnia or sleeplessness problem. First one can be found here. Maharshi says that some people worry about the past things happened in their life and some worry about the future. People unnecessarily dig the bad things, remember them often, and worry about them. Maharshi says that life is a mix of good and bad things. Bad things will teach you something and help you tackle many other problems. They should be taken as a lesson and move further rather than thinking about it again and again. These will cause sleep problems. Following is a simple food remedy to get good sleep.

Ingredients:

  • Poppy Seeds / Khus Khus /గసగసాలు

Preparation:
Fry the poppy seeds slightly in a pan, pour them into a cotton cloth, and fasten it.

Usage:
Inhale the smell while preparing for the sleep. The smell will calm the mind and help you get sleep.

Also, rub the nutmeg on a harder surface adding few drops of water and obtain paste. Apply this to both temples. Add Ashwagandha to milk and drink this before going to bed.

Avoid sleep during the day.
