Ayurvedic Remedy for Aplastic Anemia

Aplastic Anemia is a blood disorder where bone marrow would not be able to produce enough blood cells. The patients suffering from this disorder will need blood transfusions frequently. Following is a proven remedy for Aplastic Anemia.

Ingredients:

• Prickly chaff flower, Devil’s horsewhip / Achyranthes aspera / Apamarga (अपामार्ग) / Chirchira (चिरचिरा) / Uttareni (ఉత్తరేణి) roots powder
• Candy sugar
• Cardamom powder

Preparation:
Take equal quantities of the above, make powder, and store it in a glass bottle.

Usage:
Take half spoon of this powder with water thrice a day. This will clean the liver and spleen and help in blood production.

Also, fill Indian ginseng / Withania somnifera roots with cow milk and boil them on low flame until the milk evaporates. Dry them in shade. Again, fill the pieces with cow milk and boil until milk evaporates. Dry them in shade. Repeat this process for 14 times. Finally, dry them for 2-3 days, powder them, add equal quantity of candy sugar / misthri, and store in a glass bottle. Take two spoons of this powder with a cup of cow milk.

For improvement of appetite, mix ginger juice, lemon juice, and honey each one spoon and take it an hour before meals. In the night, take a spoon of triphala powder mixed in a glass of water. Massage whole body with sesame oil and bathe.

Triphala means mix of following three fruits in 1:2:4 ratio:

• Yellow Myrobalan or Chebulic Myrobalan / Terminalia chebula / Haritaki (हरीतकी) / Harad (हरद) / Karakkaya (కరక్కాయ)
• Beleric or bastard myrobalan / Terminalia bellirica / Vibhitaka (विभितक) / Aksha (अक्ष) / Thanikaya (తానికాయ)
• Indian gooseberry / Phyllanthus emblica / Amalika (अमलिक) / Amla (आम्ला) / Usirikaya (ఉసిరికాయ)
