Ayurvedic Remedies For Excessive Heat in Summer

Following is a remedy  to resolve excessive heat in this summer due to constant exposure to sunlight, not drinking enough water, eating foods that cause heat in the body, etc. This shows up in the form of sores in throat, burning eyes, cracked lips, pins and needles sensation in the head, burning sensation in hands and feet.

Ingredients:

  • Coriander seeds
  • Candy sugar / misthri

Preparation:
Add one spoon of coriander seeds to 2 cups of water and boil it till it becomes half. Let it cool, add candy sugar, and drink. If you are a diabetes patient, drink it without sugar.

Usage:
Drink this dicaction thrice a day one hour before or after meals.

Also:

  • Soak sabja / Tukmaria seeds in a glass of water, add sugar or jaggery, and drink.
  • Make buttermilk including ginger juice, lemon juice, cumin seeds powder, coriander seeds powder, mint, coriander leaves, curry leave powder, salt and store it in an earthen pot. Drink it throughout the day.
  • In the night, take required quantity of cooked rice. Add milk, chopped onion, and some butter milk. Leave it throughout the night. Eat it in the morning.
