Indigestion and constipation have become the common problems in every household. This is also the cause behind other diseases. Maharshi describes the following herbal remedy to get rid of them and gives the name “Ajeerna Samharini” in which “Ajeerna” means indigestion and “Samharini” means that which eliminates / kills.
Ingredients:
- Sweet flag, Calamus / Acorus calamus / Jatila (जटिला) / Bajai, Vasa Bach (Hindi) / Vasa (వస) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] powder – 10 g
- Long pepper / Piper longum / Pippali (पिप्पलि) / Pippali (पिप्पलि) / Pippallu (పిప్పళ్ళు) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] powder – 10 g
- Asafoetida / Ferula foetida / Hingu (हींगु) / Hing (हींग)/ Inguva (ఇంగువ) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / UK] powder – 10 g
- Yellow Myrobalan or Chebulic Myrobalan / Terminalia chebula / Haritaki (हरीतकी) / Harad (हरद) / Karakkaya (కరక్కాయ) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] powder – 10 g
- Black salt / Kala Namak (काला नमक) / Nalla Uppu (నల్లుప్పు) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] powder – 20 g
Preparation:
Heat the asafoetida a little bit, cool it, and then powder it. Mix all the above ingredients and store in a glass bottle.
Usage:
Take quarter spoon of this mixed in a cup of lukewarm water after meals.
